are you trying to just pull your 2jzge with trans and put in another 2jzge/trans of the same year? it will be easy, disconnect all lines, connections, motor trans mounts, swap. straightforward. but IMO if you have to ask you probably will have trouble doing this. label everything, color code stuff, and if you have common sense you can do this.

Just start unbolting sh#t.

Doesn't matter what it is.

Eventually the motor will fall out on its own.

Take the hood off and take it out in one piece with trans attached.

Why exactly are you replacing the motor when only the trans is broken?

Have you tried flushing the transmission? Any slippage will make the car feel sluggish. Pulling the motor is a no brainer, just rent an engine hoist.

ScWift, just did this this winter. A few things I learned...use a 2 ton jack, it will reach over everything i.e.: front bumper. If you use a 1 ton you will have to remove front bumper and metal bumper bar. I took off the air conditioner compressor and left all the lines intact. I left the wire harness on the engine so I unplugged all connectors, lines, cables and I taped and labeled everything. Have containers to catch all fluids like coolant and tranny fluid. Jack car up on stands, extra space will help. Plan on new engine mounts, many are torn already or in the process of engine removal. Remove rad, fan. When you are taking out the engine/tranny you will have to tip it at angle, watch the tranny fluid that will run out. Having the repair manual will help with everything.
