When a customer is unhappy and it comes time to refund/exchange the product, sometimes the vendor doesn't want to do it. So we are unable to step in, only because the customer didn't purchase from us directly. That is all I am trying to say, whether you want to purchase an authentic kit or purchase a replica, make sure you go direct to the manufacturer. You can only hold us responsible for not fixing a problem when it comes directly from us, not from us to a middle man to the customer.

:thumbdn: You dont back a product that your company produced unless its bought from you? thats crazy man you guys have to be the only company who doesnt carry a manufacturers warranty.

If someone purchased it from a legitimate reseller of your product then there should be no hesitation to back it 100%.
thats like saying if i have a problem with an xbox i bought at wal mart having the red ring o death i cant call microsoft for replacement? sorry but that doesnt exactly seem ok.

that being said the kit looks like if fitment was ok it would be pretty sick

There aren't manufacturer warranties on body kits, I don't know how much research you've done but no one in the market can offer you a warranty.. unless your paying 2k for a front bumper. I like your example but at the end of the day if the product has issues then it will be replaced, our policy will allow you to return products with no hassle if purchased through ED. Granted you do it the window of time that is given to you. But, keep in mind if you purchase through a wholesaler then you have to abide by their terms and conditions. If the middle man refuses to get in contact with you, or get in contact with us about your issue we will never know. We aren't always made aware if there is an issue. A lot of the companies we work with are good about getting back to us if there is a customer complaint, because like ourselves, they pride themselves on good customer service. On the other hand, some of the smaller companies sometimes just don't do anything. I can't control who does what with their business at the end of the day. We may not even know there is an issue until a customer/wholesaler makes us aware.

Say you buy a Bugatchi shirt from Nordstroms, you take it home.. you wear it.. realize that the thread is loose. You don't call Bugatchi for a refund or an exchange you go back to Nordstroms. If Bugatchi allowed you to buy shirts directly without a wholesale permit and still get a better price, wouldn't you? This way if you had a problem all you had to do was wait for an answer from Bugatchi. Now replace Bugatchi with Extreme Dimensions, replace shirt with body kit and replace Nordstrom with one of our wholesalers. It's very simple, I hope this makes sense.

Trust me i dont mean to attack you, I dont have to do much research as my current employment involves selling aftermarket body kits as well as many other things. all im saying is if i bought a product of yours from a vendor and they dont want to contact you for lets say possible horrible fitment even with proffesional install (not saying your kit would but just for example) i would hope you guys would put your best foot forward if a customer had proof of buying through a legitimate vendor of yours to solve the problem.

On another note, you guys got any more pics of actual customers with this kit? i am semi interested

ED, I gotta agree...You have the patience of Job. My hat is off to you! I do not know much at all about your products, except that it is my understanding you have created a copy of an existing fiberglass kit for the SC. I have been very busy lately, and only read the highlights from the emails mostly to see what is going on on the forum...Sometimes I jump on quickly and right back off. I haven't even posted on my own thread since December!

I decided to post up here because the negative posts and attacks you have been receiving remind me so very much about just how often I see this happening on the SC Forum...Now that it has been 11 years since the SC400/SC300 was discontinued, many younger people have and still are buying them because they can get into them so very cheaply...And still own a Lexus! Many of the cars are terribly run down, and not maintained well. Of course there are those that are the exceptions, but here is what I see:
  1. SC owners complain there are not many aftermarket options available to them and can't seem to understand why, and continue asking that manufacturers bring these products to market.
  2. Current SC owners claim that the market it large and many units "can be sold" if they "price them right".
  3. Some bold manufacturers spend the R&D and bring out the products...
  4. Many SC owners complain, attack the manufacturer, attack the product, and especially attack the price...
  5. A handful of units are actually sold...
  6. This repeats itself over and over...
I love this generation SC400/SC300. But it is now as old as 19 years, and it is currently pretty cheap to buy...So, many of the people buying them, either cannot afford the products, or just don't want them...Either case, the manufacturer has a very hard time just breaking even, much less making a profit.

I wasn't offended just was trying to get another point of view across. I do agree with you though, the manufacturer should always step up, granted the middle man lets the manufacturer know of the problem. Also, I sold two of the widebody kits today, one here in the states and one is being exported to Dubai. We will have to wait on those guys to get the kits tested. As far as I know they are going to be waiting a while to paint the parts, but we may get installed pics within a couple of weeks.

You are on top of it with all your points. We just hope people can appreciate that we won't let this car die out. Its an amazing vehicle and your right it is affordable and not many of us, including myself can afford authentic kits. Either way, well written sir.
