gotta put it like this... the longer the battery last, money, and time we save in replacing and charging the batteries in general and damage from are electrical components ..

red top optima 34R will get the job done.... cranking amps @ 32F is 1000amps and cold cranking amps @ 0F is 800amp.... see the difference... it weighs in under 40pounds, high heat resistance for you turbo guys.

yellow top is great for standalone uses. like audio, heavy equipment, dvds, tvs, ect. its heavier as-well not high heat resistance.

and this whole weight battle with batteries is point less... sports cars or cars don't use little batteries.. has anyone seen bmw m3 battery? its huge. or mercedes diesel like batteries?... make the right move.. those little batteries ain't making your 0-60 times any better.

Collectively it adds up to a big difference when you race however if you do not partake in motorsports then it's pointless.
Look under the hood of most street drag cars and you will see a lightweight battery

I've had this battery on my sc300 and supra without any problems in six years. The California climate might have something to do with them still working properly, but who knows.
