I was thinking 3.73, I had a similar gear ratio in my old muscle car. Perfect balance for the throw you back in the seat feeling yet doesnt make you feel like your gonna pop your motor on the fwy at 70mph. Im glad you did the test drives, i was worried about my gear ratio...damn i need to finish mine and stop being a lil bit*h about it... god work ihiryu

lol hey thanks.

Well, after my travels this holiday, I got 410 miles on my tank. And the gas light had just started coming on. I filled up eighteen gallons to get her topped off.

22.7 So that's pretty good for me, actually an all time high really lol.

Before on roughly the same trip, I could only get 350 or so.

So how reliable is this swap as I hear you shouldn't daily drive a twin disk set up because they don't last long. I'm debating in the future on if I should go forward with a manual swap or do a suprastick with paddles. Anyone with knowledge and miles under their belt please chime in.

none of the V8 guys are running twin Disc on there Sc4 with w58. I love the sC400 manual it's more fun to drive .Just get a regular single disc clutch and enjoy.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know but for some reason I was under the impression you had to run a twin disc set up for this. LOL! Now I'm reading about 97+ sc4's with manual swaps passing smog in CA ...ugh man CA is a hassle. I came from MN thinking CA is going to be bad *** for modding cars but it turns out I was wrong.

An update, since I saw this thread get bumped.

Last night, I got my gas light to come on and it was still doing the off and on thing, I was at 457 miles. I filled up 17.7 gallons.

SC400+W58+3.266 = Win

26mpg?! I need to hop on the 3.26 train...3.92 is killing me, love it on the back roads, hate it on the highway.

So, how does the SC400 drive with a W58 and stock differential? I'm currently planning on doing a Richmond adapter and M90 eaton on top of my 1UZ, then the W58 manual trans, just wondering if I should stay stock on the differential or not.
