Interesting, I guess you missed the title of 'Sc manual, who has one?"
No where in his title or original post did he ask how to install one, so your thread that you posted is completely irrelevant.

Your looking a bit 'helpless' yourself, your grand search turned up nothing, alot of big talk and u failed to produce anything, looks good on you.

Oh snap... ya got me. Pat yourself on the back.

The point I was trying to make was the fact that the OP wasn't searching. I mean even with a giant cant miss it search tab at the top of every frame. People are still just posting and hoping someone comes along and tosses it in their laps. And when some other member calls the person out he turns and starts in with the insult.

My "grand search"... was still searching for a subject even though the subject was miss interpreted by me.
Not the same as you missing the boat completely about what was going on in the first place. Want to tell me more about my "big talk"?

BTW my car is for sale - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...nual-swap.html

And how did you go through 2x W58's? 1uz has torque but not that much... no one locally has had any issues and we have 10+ swapped vehicles with W58's around here.

Regardless, if you are in the market for a SC400 manual, click that link above...

i just did a swap on another fellow member SC400, i am not a 1uz guy but i love how this thing sounds and how it moves.
it's 93 sc400 with fireball exhaust and W58 swap he bought the quantum kit , the only issue we had the shims that goes on the spline....but overall i love the setup. After his swap i even thought about the same thing on my other SC!

This^ guy along with Bart did a marvelous job with my swap. Omar is not a 1uz guy like he stated above and I was surprised he kinda liked it after I let him drive his own swap. Get up and go is there with the stock 400 diff, looking into a auto TT diff to lengthen the gears a bit, not loving cruising at 65mph @ 3000rpm. Still dealing with minor issues (i have a code 13, not really related to the swap, but bugging me to death). Bought a new cam sensor hopefully that fixes it.

Thanks for all the reply's back on my Thread , This was all the up to date information i was looking for.

I think the manual swap is sometimes over looked on the SC400 and needs to be brought back to life.

I could use the search button next time but then we all would not have such great conversation.

Thanks,

Labor: If you do it yourself? Free. Expect about 12-24 hours of labor depending on how skilled you are mechanically.

Feeling of driving a V8, manual, RWD Lexus? Priceless.

Wouldnt be that bad if the transmissions werent so hard to find. Wish there were more options to use.

Wow man that is certainly not cheap, with the average cost of mechanics labour this could get well into the 3g+ mark.

Does the flywheel kit include clutch and pedals and all the fixings, somehow I doubt it.

Drove one before that made me start getting all the parts soon and research more. Once its swapped with basic upgrades such as intake headers full exhaust etc. car is pretty crazy . i was surprised how smooth everything was but when you press it down to the floor it jumps
