10.09.08 Humble Beginnings. How it all started.

Picked up a 1992 SC300 5 speed with 119.3K miles in October of 2008. It was on E when I purchased it from the previous owner and the first thing I did was fill her up at the cost of nearly $70. At the time, this was right before the recession hit and gas was at an all-time high. Within the first couple days or so, I drove it to my girlfriends house. It was getting dark and I believe we went out to eat and as we were about to leave I find out that the lowbeams were out! We were freaking out, but we wound up driving with the highbeams. I guess I was excited about the car. I am pretty sure the previous owner told me the low beams were out.

So along with with lowbeam lights, it had the usual leaking valve cover gaskets, leaking distributor o-ring, leaking power steering hose, water in the headlights, torn leather seats, and peeling chrome 15" wheels. But, it was a RWD 2JZGE 5 speed the paint was in good condition and she cleaned up nicely.

Jadu, hey...got to start somewhere. I feel you on the priorities, all about making the family happy first. If they're happy, then we're happy. As far as a lip or body kit...if it's within your budget I'd go for the BIG WIN kit. IMO I think it's one of the cleanest kits for a subtle and clean look. Either way, good luck with your venture!

what weds are those? my wheels look identical to them and ive always wondered what mine were a copy of. also being weds i'd imagine they are really light no?

The car looks legit the way it sits now. I love the wheels.

Good luck!

I'm sure your sc will turn out sleek, I'm already diggin the current look. Nice choice in wheels:thumbup: btw better have a slow genuine build than a fast cheap one so take your time

Looks great sir. I know about home ownership and the priority that it takes. I just have a tough time keeping up with the maintenance sometimes and don't have time for mods anymore.
