Hooking up factory sub. Need help.
I am currently hooking up a double din pioneer in my 95 sc400. It has the nak system in it. I have been using the write up that raine made. I am confused on where g4 and g6 are. Because my sub amp is with my main amp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
is ur sub amp still wired to the sub? is it a different amp or what? kinda sounds like u have a 5 channel, 4 for door the 5th is a mono channel and can be ran at 2ohms? these stock subs run at 1ohm last time i checked which is NUTS imo for a stock sub? ha id expect 4 or 8, but make sure if it is a different amp, it can hold the 1ohm load
I used the write up that raine made for the stock pioneer system (I have the nak system) and now that I'm to the point of wiring in the stock sub I don't know what to do. I would like to have the stock sub work with my pioneer double din. I would also like to not use my aftermarket amp I would rather use the stock amp.
Hope this helps :

all the sub amp does, is takes one rear channel and amplifies it to the sub.. so unless you butchered the wiring harness in the location of the Other Amp.. you shoudlnt be having to do Anything at all to the stock sub or its amp.

well your deck will not control the sub and amp if thats what you mean.
Aslong as all your sub amp wires behind your new deck are connected and nothing is left without a partner.. you should have no issues.
if you look at that diagram it may help you figure out what your missing
ie. the amp wire (almost liek the remote wire that tells the amp the deck is On) its probably not connected behind your new unit.
follow that diagram and make sure the wires are all hooked up for it.
you may have to connect the amp wire to something to have it ON when the deck is on. but i dont remember if i connected it to my accessory wire or not.. i just upgraded the whole sub and got a new amp a couple days after - figured while i was at it...
hope you figure it out!!!
