Default Modifying Stock Seat Rails

Has anyone ever modified the stock seat rails of the SC300/Soarer to fit after market seats like Bride or Recaro? Are the stock seat rails (sliders and tilt function) removable from the stock seats? Anyone with pics?

its a bit of a pain, i couldnt figure out how to unbolt the stock rails off cause there is so much stuff under the sc seats. so i took a plasma cutter to cut them off as clean as i could and welded them onto the bottom of an rsx i was putting in. Got them to fit after a few hours but it was a pain and such a hassle,

im buying custom seat brackets or making brackets next time,

i KIND OFFFF did something like that. i have some civic rails on my bride brix I sitting in the garage so i decided to mod it to my SC since the leather was all torn.

i tore apart the stock seats rails and started to cut away at part i didnt need. i kept the stock brackets and welded my civic BRIDE rails over the stock sc rails. dont really have pics of the process. only have pics of the seats in my car. haha

It's hard to do while retaining the power function of the rails.

I also cut the rails for just the bolt holes, and welded them to square stock.

Voialah, seat rails for way under $200.

I was thinking the same thing. Disassemble the stock seat rails for the bottoms section with the bolt holes. Weld a brace between the two side and then weld the sliders on them... I do not want to retain the power functions as I don't have it anyways. What I was looking at was for some way to get the lever working that would flip the seat forward and move it forward as well... However, I sorta gave up and decided against it.

I would but I got two stock seats for $80 and the steal wouldn't cost me a lot. I am in the Bahamas right now so cost was a major factor. Plus they are Recaro seats from an Evolution 3 that I am putting in my Soarer.. I went that route but when I contacted Wedge the price they quoted wasn't that low.
