Default 10-12 mpg on 92 sc300?????

HEY GUYS

So, I love my car, but dont think I can take it much longer. I understand that these cars are not that great on gas, but my friends TAHOE is getting better MPG than I am. So far I have changed;

-BOTH front O2 Sensors
-timing belt, water pump
-all new plugs, wires, cap
-no leaks, smoking, knocking, noises, etc.
-92 with 193k, 2 owner

The cars runs pretty good for its age, it starts up like a champ every morning, but cant figure out why the MPG is soooo bad. Anyone ever face this? Dont want to sell it, but im getting there. Thanks!

My SC's mileage is pretty bad as well. I'm not sure what would cause your SC to be that bad. I get about 14-16 MPG in my SC.

have you replaced the ecu caps? they tend to leak, giving bad mileage

do a compression test and post your numbers, pm if u need instructions. also try resetting your ecu and then drive like a grandma for a week. can also change your air filter along with cleaning your maf sensor if it is not a karmen vortex type like my 93sc3

Check your coolant temp sensor as this will cause the issue you speak of and not the sensor for the gauge but rather the one for the ecu.

25.00 fix if it is indeed bad.

Timing belt and wp have nothing to do with bad fuel mileage
