Climate Control Fan Speed
#47
I purchased a used "POwer Transistor" and finally got around to install it yesterday but, after seeing the part and testing the one on my car. I see the part I received as the "Power Transistor" actually controlled the Temp. It open and closes a flap in the AC system the allows hot air to come in to raise the temp of the AC. So i'm almost certain this is not the correct part. UNless it has two functions (blower speed and temp).
In short can someone tell me if this part in the picture is the "power transistor"

I am looking to replace an OEM part that controls the blower speed.

The problem I have with my car is that when I switch to level 2 and 3 nothing happens, it feels like the low setting. Only the low setting and high setting work. Would I need to replace the transistor?

i'm having a very similar problem, except my blower is stuck in LOW not HIGH. It doesn't matter what speed I select, it's barely blowing any air.
if I remember correctly, I do vaguely remember something making some noise under the glove box last year when it finally stopped working. i'm assuming this would be the transistor?
does anyone have a part number for this?

Any of you guys has AC diagram circuit, mine was working, had a short on the fuses on the driver side replace all that now my blower does not work, but AC compressor works and climate control has power also I did notice every time I start the car my climate control is vent is switched to outside and I always leave it closed because of the cold outside.

Does anyone know what that part is really called and if anyone could take pictures of where it's located?
The picture above seems to be the wrong part.
Edit: Well the above picture is not the power transistor, I don't know what it is but as from the factory service manual, this is the power transistor:
As for where exactly it is on the car, I'm not too sure, but people say under the glove box
Double Edit:
Power transistor part number: 88750-24050 or 88750B
Picture above is referred to as an "air mix damper" part number: 87106B

Triple Edit:
Ok so I found it and took some pictures for everyone who is having trouble to get a basic idea as to where this is at. It's behind the blower fan and close to the firewall on the right side under the glovebox:
You can see the blower fan in both pictures to give an orientation. Hopefully that helps anyone who was having trouble finding this. I'm probably talking to myself by now
