All I have is a blitz exhaust after the cat. I want to get a dow dp and fmic, but I might just sell the car. I like the 1J, I just feel it runs out of breath rather quick. Also, since I have a W58, I'm limited on the power I can produce. I know 1J's can put down some power, but if I'm going single, might as well spend it on my 97 and sell this car.
I dont run 18psi daily...thats what i have the HKS EVC 5 for..LoL i daily drive my SC when around town jus cruising, i leave the boost controller off, so its at 11psi but as i stay in it WOT, it spikes...
But my boost controller was set at LO Boost = 15psi & HI Boost 18psi....Only mods were 3" custom dp,Blitz Nur Spec exhaust *turbo back*,4" Fmic, & 3" intake, thats all
Listen if ur 1J sc is completely stock, stock exhaust,stock smic...etc yes it is pretty lame...but a fmic,dp & exhaust wakes them up no doubt about it...any body who own'd a 1J car will tell u that

Education...education...preparation. HAHA. July is my estimate of ordering my motor set then the breakdown and cleanup begins. Hopefully I'll be boosting well before the end of the year. I just want to make sure I do it right the first time

running 16lbs daily and no issues.. my W58 holding up fine for now, even with the occasional hard shifting.. At the end of the day, I built it to have fun, if it dies, it dies.. It would just get better from there..

I have a 2JZGTE/V160 powered SC that makes just under 600whp on pump gas and I run my friends C6 Z06 that is supercharged, and we're dead even from a roll. My other friend has one that only has exhaust, and some minor things, and I put a beating on him from a roll. At the drag strip, we were all pretty even though with me having slicks on. If I put in race gas, none of them can keep up at all as I make a lot more power.
However, I've driven both of their cars, and plenty of other Z06's, and they're just bred for going fast, you can feel it when you drive them. The low end torque, response, BRAKES, steering, everything just feels so superior, and much less effortless. So yeah, I can beat them, but it feels way more forced in my SC, and that's with a 2JZGTE/6spd, not a 1J.
