Testing the MAF, checking my reasoning...
In troubleshooting my stuttering/hesitation issues I thought I had eliminated the MAF as the culprit when I unplugged it and the problem didn't change. Initially I thought "oh if it was that, the car would go into the 'emergency mode' and go full air/fuel mix and the problem would go away", well when I unplugged it, and the issue didn't change, I went on to throw a pile of money at other things, that did NOT solve the issue,
FINALLY I found the thread on here regarding the Hesitation issues with info on how to test the MAF with a multimeter and found a friend I could borrow one from.
When I tested it, it had no resistance or constance at all, I could have been testing a GD Q-Tip for all the response the meter gave me. I tested the two far right pins in the MAF socket, as well as every other combo I could for that matter, and got zero reading, like I was stabbing the probes into a dinner roll.
So, before I throw yet more $$ at this thing, my thinking is thus...
If the car was running like ****, and it was because the MAF was totally dead or burnt out, unplugging it wouldn't have any results anyways since the ECU pretty much assumed it was gone anyways.
At this point I have done everything I could find to do on here and a couple other sites and the only thing I haven't straight up replaced is the MAF sensor.

just saw this thread, you should get resistance from the maf.
check out the chart if you haven't seen it on post #6.

Unfortunately Doing a resistance test to check a Mass air flow sensor is not a proper way to test. Best way to test is to check it with a lab scope and measure the voltage during a snap test. However testing resistance values will only tell you if the maf sensor is dead or highly damaged.
I would recommend taking the car to a competent automotive shop for a diagnostic. In the end its cheaper than thowing parts at the car.
