Default Scratches on plexiglass

Hey I was wondering how not to get scratches on the plexiglass when forming over the original lens. I saw that yours came out clean. When I was forming over the lense I got some scratches.

Nice try. How about clear photos from multiple angles? That way everyone can see that the new lenses are uneven, and how that painted black part looks pretty bad... you can kind of see it already in the finished photos.

I've seen this same exact thing done on a Honda with less of a curve to their headlamps. It does look good from a distance, at a glance. As it passes by at 40mph. at night time.

A+ for effort though.

Yup, sorry guys I didn't check this thread for a while.

Yes the headlights are still holding up strong. Same as day 1. No yellowing or anything like that.

Here's a tip for anyone attempting this:
If you end up scratching the plexi glass with your cutting tool, you can take the scratches out with sandpaper and polishing compound. You'll see that in one of the pics I have a big and deep scratch on one of the headlights (I did this when I was cutting the plexiglass), but I was able to take out the scratch by using 220, 400, 800, 1000, 2000 sandpaper, in that order. I finished it off with a Plastx polisher. Good as new!

The issue I'm having is when I take the plexiglass out of the oven and set it on the lens it wants to get sticky, resulting in having like marks..
