much better man. i hope i can get a tent one day and do my own too. because i couldn't afford to pay someone to give me the quality i desire. i want a glassy finish with no orange peel. quality like that costs thousands. i have the patience. i have painted fenders and hoods before. and gotten some good results. but perfection will be a challenge. its my baby sc3 though and i wont settle for sub par. lol. seriously though the buff saved it man. not bad.
yeah because i was wondering why my car looked dull... so my solution was probably buffing... so i had to wait for that one nice day and just RIP through the process took me about 3 hours just buffing taking my time of course. and waxing. my paint job was about $535 Free labor ftw...
***** your normally a honest troll but its mostly true haha thank you for yoru positive opinion and yes orange peel is a pain.... but gotta admit not bad for a 1st timer.
lol tuan i think there was one time i was a bit too hard on one of your threads and for that im sorry, for the most part though im just trying to call it like it is .
Yes for a first timer it is a great job, you will only get better from here.
The front bumper looks much better now. The hood really needs some help though...
the hood is fine from a distance, most people dotn know what orange peel is but its fine for now maybe when i come back to chicago after college ill work on it :P
15 hours in wetsanding alone? what went wrong in the booth?
Other than the mentioned orange peel, it's coming back nicely. Love the interior and of course that RSP.
we had to switch cars in and out because someone started their paint job when i started mine when they left their car in there for a year...... so it was a rush kinda project.... but it went smooth. yes some problems but nothign is perfect and the inetrior i planned on doing it a year ago for spring break ^_^ now its almost done!!
when summer comes ill have acess to the auto shop so ill probably wet sand there... my friend did the wet sanding when he reclearded my hood i did the whole body wet sanding which took 15+ hours because i wanted it to look Legit
