Default Who copy cuts lexus keys cheap??

I am trying to get a spare key cut but walmart said it's "laser cut" and refused to attempt even though they sell the damn blanks for it then they told me that there is a transponder chip in it as well so again

I am glad everybody is an expert in this world so now that I have the blank where would be the best and cheapest place to have this key cut?

Your Lexus dealership. Stop being cheap and just get it done there. You can always get a key cut anywhere but its the chip in the key that'll make the car start. You can open the car with a cut key but it probably wont start it.

I bought a new and cut key from this place:
http://www.sewellparts.com/index.php
Also gives discounts to CL members.

Depends what model year you have, if it has a chip or not.
I know my 99 SC has a chip in the key but my 92 doesn't.

As far as i know it doesn't have a chip in the key, just the 97+ or maybe just the 99-00.

Ugh I am not going to spend 135.00 for a spare key man no way that's ever going to happen and it's a 97 with no transponder so no chip.

I don't know about you but I am sure as hell not going to spend 110.00 more on a spare key that will rarely if ever get used, I will have 25.00 or less in the key by the time I am done.

My 95 doesn't have a transponder but it does have the keyless entry key. I had a dead key cut at the Lexus dealer for about $35, I image if you bring your own blank it will be cheaper. I just wanted a way to save the key pattern so that if I loose my keyless entry key I have the pattern to make another from.

Hmm is that including the key? Since mine is a 97 it has a key fob remote and not the one in the head of the key.

Go to a local locksmith and they'll do it for you. I've made 2 spares $25 each and they all unlocked and started the car fine.

Those who go to stealership, stop wasting your money
