Tahoe "homebrew" front lip!

I was driving around in my truck during a snowstorm this past winter and heard a crunch and scrape. :rolleyes: I got out to see what was going on, and noticed I had run over a piece of plastic from another car. If I had to guess, it looked like it was off a Chevy Silverado or Cadillac Escalade or something like that. It was originally a very squarish looking part with almost 90deg angles. Definitely a front lip of some kind. I didn't give it much thought at the time, I picked it up and threw it in the back of my truck.. figured I could use it for something at some point.

So the front of my SC was kinda bothering me because I was rolling on 20's and the front looked too pointy and too far up from the ground. I started messing around with different stuff I had laying around the house to get ideas, and then I remembered that I had this thing in the corner of the garage. I placed it under the front bumper to see how it would fit, but it wasn't long enough to wrap all the way around the front of my Sc. Anyhow, a Dremel and 30 minutes later, and it started to fit nicely. :D Here is the finished product. Sorry for the crappy pic but you get the idea.

That looks awesome! I would totally pay someone to make me a couple of these lips. They always look just as good as the OEM lip.

That looks nice. I wonder what its off off I wonder. I have wanting to do mine. I still have the original 1992 on mine but its a little warped in the middle.
