Just curious if ANYone has attempted the reverse of swapping a s13/s14 ka tranny onto their 1uz. Im on the 240 forums alot (being a 240 owner) and many of the s chasis guys are going with v8 options (ls1,luz, vh45). Ive seen a handful of 1uz swaps into s chasis and know they utilize adapter kits for the ka trannie with a mr2 clutch and fly ex.http://forums.nicoclub.com/1uzfe-s14...t-t271939.html
I know the w58 is similar in size to the ka transmission and wondering if anyone has tried.

There is a guy here in florida that did this to his 240. I took a ride on it and its nuts. He has the 5 speed stock trans from the nissan.

wow im amazed. that fits in there so much better than i thought... i know u can only get away with a few of the Nissan V8's like the early ones. but that fits in so nice.

considering how cheap the 1uz's can be aquired im amazed we dont see them dropped into all kinds of cars.

it is one of the most reliable engines out there in my opinion.

stock ka and sr tranny's are garbage but the 1uz does look nice and purdy in that nissan

with the 1uz's power a ka or sr tranny will do just fine....

also i've talked to the guy that built that 240 and he makes adapter plates for the mating of just about any tranny to the 1uz.

He beats the living crap out of that car in drift events and the trans has held like a champ. I am more amazed how the engine revs so much better and feels way more powerful and he is using the stock 1uz ecu.

wow never seen this before or even heard of this. how fast do the s13/14s get with a vvt-i 1uz swap??

Considering the difficulty of putting the vvt-i 1uz into even an earlier year SC, I highly doubt anyone has put one in another make.

I would love to be proven wrong, though

thanks for the emial.......and ya Im familiar with ka five speed swap in my old 240. but didnt do the v8 thing.. would have been nice to know when i blew my motor i would have just did this lol.. here is a shot of my 240
