Yes sir it has been done. My friend (2.5tsoarer) and I are one of the only few who have used the factory Lexus radio faceplate and cut it, as well as the touchscreen monitor faceplate in order to put them together to create a stock looking aftermarket double din monitor in the factory radio location.

[QUOTE=FutureSC;6304118]Someone on here has done a carputor before, but not sure who. I believe P.R.S.22 has done something different as well.QUOTE]

Yes sir I did. Had to do something different since I didn't like the way aftermarket double din HU stick out in our cars. Plus the carpc route is much more versatile and open to a thousand possibilities if you have the time for it. Here are some pics of my setup in the car.....

Video of my carputer in action.....

If you all have any questions about it first look at my thread in my signature first (carpc info is on pg 16 and 17), then if anything is unclear or you want more info don't hesitate to ask me

Could you post the jpg of your Lexus splash screen? I'm going to need one.

Thanks!
Carver, here's the splash screen that Jet and I are using.

Thank you meangreen1. Including install and buying all new speakers, 10 inch sub, and two amps....about 800, which is way cheaper than the really good pioneer double dins and like I said is completely versatile to whatever you can imagine.

There are sooo many good deals on stuff like this all the time on the carpc forums....just gotta search around and look for what fits your budget.

the wheel was some one on the forum selling it for 200 bucks it was brand new and was custom made. I think he sold his sc and was looking to dump the parts he had for it. the shifter is a sc300 gated shifter I had to modify the linkage for it to fit a sc400

also dont mind the random tan buttons and the staples showing it just threw the console back together quick as I'm installing a bunch of dynomatt and new seats in the car
