im telling you this is the best thing u could have done to your car. i love my 5speed but i need boost now lol

Don't forget to keep your auto solenoids and plug them in cartmill style to avoid the CEL.

You don't need that for 92-97 but 98+.

u have the W58 front shaft?

i need the R154 MK3 front shaft. im tryin to trade someone for it. the one i have is 2 inches too short to fit all the way inside my r154

Hey does anyone know the torque specs on the flywheel bolts???

So, i'm planning to do this swap on my spring break which is in two weeks from now..

Mind if i PM you asking for some advice later? Have you started it yet? Does it throw the CEL?

Yea man thats not a problem at all!!! And no i have not stared it yet cuzz i am waiting for the clutch but it should be here tmrw. So i should no tmrw night if it throws the cel.

you will have a check engine light because your auto ecu will not see the transmission. unless you source a 97 OBD2 5speed ecu ull have a check engine light.

^ u can also just clip ONE resistor inside the ecu... i don't remember which one it is but look it up its easy as that

You will not have a check engine light, i swapped over 6 SCxxx from auto to manual and using the Stock Auto ECU.
92-97 Will be fine no Check engine sometimes you may have the O/D light blinking but it's no big deal.

then why did i have one on mine when i swapped. Have you swapped any 97's? That are odb2?

96 should CEL too if its an OBDII thing. My 92 just gives me the blinking OD light, but I thought all OBDII cars would trip a CEL.
