Default SC300 Upper / Lower Ball Joints

Here's my problem when I back out of the driveway with the wheels turned all the way in either direction, I get a little pop.

Is this a problem with either of the ball joints?

My car has over 140K with no other major problem (other than those stinking little gauge lights) No vibes at high speeds either.

Thanks,

I just got the same thing today, for the first time,I'm going to try and find some suitable replacements, but that'll require an extra set of control arms, and some time to research a replacement part, process to remove/install.I want to make some UHMW bushings also, but should have balljoints at the same time,so I don't have to mess with it twice.
I'll first go to the parts books, look at various Toyota models, get out the calipers, and go to the parts bins, after measuring my parts.
Unless someone else has more time to do this?

I have the same thing. The single pop when backing out usually with the wheels turned, but not always. While I took my car for the maintenance, I asked the Lexus service rep to check what is going on. He told me that they could not find anything wrong with the front suspension.

Also, check out this thread on the LS forum, LS forum thread . I believe these guys are discussing exactly the same issue you are having.
