lately everytime i shut my radio off and my antenna retracts all the way the motor still makes this loud noise like its still trying to retract the antenna. its a real loud buzzing type noise. Does this sound like a motor issue or a antenna mast issue?

 

Sounds like the motor. You may need to check the gear set to make sure it has not been damaged.

 

I second that motor issue but the mast is an cost effective fix to start with

 

I say its the motor and see if the mask is possibly broke off inside the assembly itself.
