Changed my Dash LED's....opinions

Changed out the old LEDs, had a few burnt out, for these Blue ones... total cost was around 11 bucks

I am still on the fence what are your opinions.

The "hotspots" are lens flare due to my ****ty cell came and the brightness of the LEDs..they are still there very slightly....i dunno

Brightness all the way up

Where did you get the bulbs? And do they come in super white?

CTB727 Feb 5, 2011 10:52 AM

Was there any soldering involved? Results look good, I'm just not liking the hotspots too much.

Not quite.... Even. I think it needs Moar Brighter LED's

1WILLY1 Feb 5, 2011 12:12 PM

wow i like it -----but yes its too bad you couldnt get them to be more even--there are hotspots as ctb727 said.

But all in all i like it alot good job.

Looks good but Id prefer the bright white. More info on the bulbs and where you got them at..

NEbiker10 Feb 5, 2011 02:39 PM

I got them from super bright LED's....The "hotspots" are going to show up... especially for crappy cameras...Its pretty mellow in real life but there still is a slight hotspot because the leds are much brighter than stock.
I think super white looks a little better (looks OEMish though)....I may exchange them if I can

Installionation was super easy...twist off twist in...just make sure to have EVERYTHING plugged in and double check...I had to take mine out 3 times because my tach wasnt working

Also...Do not turn on the cluster with some stuff unplugged...it will trigger the airbag light

Here is a little bit of a better pic...all my cameras are old and ****ty thou...its doesnt like the brightness of the dash...here is is turned all the way down little better of an idea

I just don't think a Lexus should have to have hotspots. That's all I'm saying. :)

As long as you are happy with your results, it's your car man. Rock it like a hurricane.

Is there anyway to not have them show up? Lower powered LED? I just keep noticing them now all the time haha

Not from a plug and play application. Custom only. Lot's of lighting manipulation.
