Yes, I like the second hood. I love Aston hoods. I like most hoods that have vents stock(sans STI's) it's the aftermarket ones that make me sick.

Great project & props for the effort. I like the 2nd aston hood, but dont know if that would look good on the SC hood. I think something like the m3 would look good.

I hadn't seen the LFA hood till now, but that's reallt really similar to I'm working on. However, I strategically placed and extra wide vent right behind the radiator...

update

First, I apologize to those whom I promised an update long time ago. School got real hectic and I had more urgent projects to deal with <rebuilding VVTi pulley and chasing an oil leak>.

Today, I started laying the hood at 0600. We didn't finish till around noon. Thank God I had my buddy Charlie helping me, as big carbon fiber sheets are almost impossible to handle without pulling the weave.
Anyway, on to pictures

10 yards of carbon fiber: 400 dollars

I used the fridge compressor and the Greddy ricer can to pull extra vacuum


Resin is hard already, but I should pull it tomorrow ( then we'll see)
