Angry seafoamed sc4 now throws cel... code 13

Well, been having hesitation problems.. thought it was the TPS so i went ahead and replaced it.. But that wasn't the fix.. Figured the next logical step was a new fuel filter and to seafoam it.. I did it a bit backwards and installed a new fuel filter, just hoping that the issue might be fixed... well it made no difference.. So i went ahead and seafoamed the beast. I added about 1/3 of the bottle to 20 dollars worth of gas (6 gallons) and not even a 1/3 to the engine oil.. then I went ahead and sucked in about a cup (literal measurement) of seafoam into the egr hose.. Shut the car down for about 5 min, started it and blew out all the smoke BUT.... Now my check engine light is on and I'm throwing a code 13... Obviously now my car is running worse then before. Sometimes if I have the egr hooked up the car WILL NOT RUN and sometimes it will.

I searched the forums and can't find exactly what code 13 is... or why it is just now popping up.

my car is a 92 sc4.. has 203k miles.. Unknown last tuneup, just got it.. has new tps, and fuel filter.. plugs look pretty good, they are ngk's and have very little carbon. The car was hesitating before the seafoam but had no check lights untill I seafoamed it. Any idea's guys?

could be 2 things, wire coming from the cam housing on either side could have rubbed through via the acc. belt. If that's not it code 13 generally means the timing is 1+ teeth off. You don't have too change the plugs after sea foam but its a good idea since it could cause massive carbon build up resulting in a fouled plug. I did a full tune u after sea foam, i still have a code 13 but haven't gotten around to checking the timing!

FYi when ever you buy a used car its always a good idea to always do a tune up. plugs wires, oil, all filters etc.. only becuase you dont know really when anything is done.. and when you do the plugs and wires its always good to do timing check. Im not saying thats the problem your having but just fyi.. I learned my lesson my first car when i was 16 lol...was funny.

Good luck on finding the problem.. cuz these cars are a blast to drive

thanks guys. so far I have not found the issue.. No wires are rubbing so guessing I have a timing issue.. wierd thing is that the cell was thrown as soon as I started the car with the seafoam.. anyways, the car runs like crap now unless I unplug the MAF and drive it like that.. seems to run a bit better. Tuneup is coming, I sure hope it starts running better, feelling a bit discouraged.

my car has twice thrown a code 13 and it is hard to get a str8 answer as to what it means--its possible there is more than one meaning to this code---anyways in my case a code 13(rpm code) meant the cam sensor was acting up.

This caused my car to not run sometimes and when it did it would stall out on me whenever it felt like it.

Please check your cam sensors it isnt hard.

dont pay for more than half hours labour to have the dealer check if they are working properly.Therre are two of them.

good luck
