Default GS400 wheels on an SC

Just picked up some 17'' GS400 wheels and was going to throw them on my SC. They have 235/45r17 on the fronts, and I was wondering if that is going to be the correct profile, and look good. If not what do alot of you guys use? Any pics? I used the search and couldnt find an answer to tire size. Also would a 20mm spacer be good for the rear?

They will look fine. I had 234/45's on my TT Supra wheels.

I'll be helpful. Check your PM for another picture, I'm too lazy to blur out the license plate.

My setup is all stock btw.

Your specs sound correct. And yes, a 20mm spacer would look better on both the front and back. Just make sure you install them correctly & check things out from time to time. I removed one of my wheels a few months ago and a spacer nut fell right off. I'm assuming I didn't torque it down enough. It's never happened again and I always check them out once a month since then. I've heard stories about things going terribly bad with spacers, and I've heard of people having them installed for years with no issues. I'm going on six months daily driving, 80+ miles per day with no issues. I use 25mm Ichiba V2 spacers that I purchased from a vendor on this forum. You can contact Ichiba directly for extra nuts and bolts if anything happens.

thanks for all responses! I'm loving this forum already, very helpful. I've been reading on a few stories about people having problems with the bolt on spacers, I'll probably get longer studs and go that route. Is 20mm in the rear and a spacer in the front going to stress the studs much? I don't plan on autocrossing the car, but I will occasionally take a turn faster than the speed limit.

The answer is YES! (that's more than 3/4 inch!)

A quality set of bolt-on's would be far stronger. 20mm is plenty thick enough to get them to bolt up reliably.

They look good from the pics that I've seen in the past, but I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that has any on their SC.

No more than 5mm should be put on stock studs. 5mm spacer is still kinda unsafe on stock studs
