Yeah, it sucks. The part that pissed me off was that it happened after i cleaned the garage and scrubbed all the atf off of the ground. I would have been less mad if it leaked right when I installed the rack because it would be easier to pull off. I'm going to try and pull the rack tonight, so I can swap the EVO sensor back to the old rack and drop it off at the rebuild shop in the morning.

That really sucks that it started leaking like that. Hopefully the rebuilt rack works out and you don't have any more issues.

Did you have to put on new steering rack bushings with your rack or did they come with the rack?

My rack came with new rubber bushings, but I removed them and put in the solid figs bushings. I wanted a solid feel from the steering.

Thanks! Now if he would only make pods for the center vents...

EDIT: Just spoke to AutoExtrude about a possible center vent pod and its basically not in the works because the vent is 51mm tall and the pods are 52mm... Ah well!

It looks like someone else already answered where to buy them, but here is a direct link: http://www.shopfigs.com/v3/by-vehicl...C3_SUP_RCKBUSH I'm a big fan of Figs engineering products. Their products are well constructed and more thought out than some of their competitors that I've experienced. Tolerances and ease of adjust-ability are factored into their design.

The solid steering rack bushings only replaces the bushings on the driver side, so the passenger side still uses the oem rubber.

I picked up my rack yesterday and they cleaned everything way better than I could.

I was asking them about the rack I put in, and they said for it to fail that fast would require me to over pressure the system which is usually done when people swap the high and low pressure lines. He said it was unlikely I did that since the high and low lines use different sized bolts. It's more likely the rack was defective when I got it.

While swapping everything over and getting ready to install the newer rebuilt rack, I noticed the pinch bolt on the steering shaft was stretched out. I ordered them last night, so now it's just more waiting.

Did the rack come with the new tie rod ends or did you have to buy those separately?

I bought the tie rod ends separately from the rack. The re-manufactured rack will only come with the inners. After looking over my old rack, I probably didn't need new ones. What makes you think the tie rod end is wrong?

Added new water pump and timing belt and painted hooks red...

Some more things accomplished. Changed the transmission fluid, replaced spark plug x8, oil filter, engine flush with oil change, fuel injector cleaning, and painted ls400 brake upgrade red.
