What was that install like?
Also I've read once that they're on the road they drive pretty loud, that true?
I pulled the differential myself and had a gear and axle shop in town install the KAAZ unit. The diffs are easy to drop out of these cars, and I paid $250 at the gear/axle shop. I did have a hard time finding someone local to do it, as most gear and axle shops in Denver prefer to work on silly Jeeps and domestic straight axle stuff. However, they did a great job and checked bearings/seals while they were at it.
As for the noise - mine barely chatters, but it is noticeable on occasion. If you follow the break-in procedure and use their fluid, it works very smooth and I certainly would not call it "loud". I've ridden in cars with KAAZ diffs that are loud, but I believe that's due to not breaking them in correctly, not changing the fluid often, or blown out subframe/diff bushings allowing things to flop around. My initial impression of the KAAZ 2-way is awesome, would buy again!
ordered a mint white toyota soarer from japan! it arrived today. two minutes upon delivery, my son got to it and managed to lose both side mirrors, windshield wipers, 1 muffler exhaust, and broke off the seat mounts. pic of the destruction
Ordered all new OEM Lexus suspension parts for my 1/120. Control arms, shocks, tie rods, a steering rack, sway bar bushings and end links. Can't wait to see how it'll drive!
Nice work guys. I did a few things on SC over weekend . Put new tires all around Nitto Invo 255 35 20 f, 285 30 20 r, I adjusted suspension to accommodate width of tires , removed cluster to change to a 97+ but did not want to cut into harness so I fix mine and added red LED for back lighting. Then since I had it all apart I repaired my tilt steering. So it seems every weekend I've been working on the SC.

I never had all those parts brand new at once, but I've replaced them all now and it's quite nice.
When I had new controls arms and shocks 8 or 9 years ago with the stock 16's the car rode super smooth, but my favorite stock suspension configuration was when when I had the 18" wheels from the 2nd gen IS, the added wheel width makes the car handle better.
