Good move, car should ride much nicer now. Which control arms did you install?
Used the NAS control arms from Toyolex. the 92-96 model. Put it on my 99 SC400 bolted on perfect. I was going 70mph earlier today and it rides AMAZING. and ofcourse cornering and turning is awesome too. There is also alot less noise when going over bumps.
Built an amp rack, will hopefully finish the install tomorrow
So yeah, got no where close to finishing last night.
Before tacking the sound system, I started with the serpentine belt, which was screeching really bad. Took the belt off and the main crank pulley came off with it. �� So I ordered a new Harmonic balancer.
Next, I replaced the IAC sensor connector. Most of the night was occupied with getting the SWS-10X sub mounted to the stock subwoofer ring. Got the sound deadening material onto the rear deck, modified my 6.5” speaker adapters to fit the Orion Cobalt mid range speakers, mounted the amp rack and ran the power and signal wires.
Tonight, I got the rear speakers mounted to the rear deck (OE screws were too short so I had to buy some longer ones). Finished the wiring at the head unit, got the installation of the gauges pretty much done. Just need to buy some more vacuum hose to reach into the engine bay.
Tomorrow, I’ll be tackling the door speakers and sound deadening. Also need to maybe fix some cracks in the back of the door panels with some fiberglass.

Nice work! You should start a build thread with all the stuff you've already done to the car.
Today is exactly 10 years since I took delivery of the SC. I've replaced about 80% of the car over the years and currently it runs flawlessly (with the exception of needing a new heater control valve).
I had some new/stronger hangers made for my exhaust since I kept on breaking the old ones.
Was gonna get these installed, but when we got the front lower control arm bushing out and fitted these it, they were the wrong ones
Apparently a having a Sept 1999 model doesn't guarantee it being a "Late" model. Shout out to FIGS Engineering for having a set of "Early" model bushings and getting out to me in Canada ASAP.
Is it just the mufflers or did you do all the piping too? how about some sound clips
Yeah just the mufflers for now. Eventually i'll get the piping changed too but i still have to do some research on which size to get. I'll try and post some clips when I get a chance.

nice, ill keep an eye out for the vid. Interested in seeing how it works out. Ive been planning on getting the Tanabe Medallion touring exhaust which looks almost exactly like that one but is double the price. I might get that one instead after seeing it

I was really torn between the Manzo for $255 and Tanabe for $499. Eventhough I could afford the Tanabe, I just couldn't convince myself paying the extra amount. It's like I was paying more just to have the name. I'm honestly happy with the Manzo exhaust plus the fact I have my $244 saved for something else.
installed the front rear subframe supplemental bushings from Figs. Part number SPF2553K and about $30 bucks. I've had the supra rear subframe mounts for a while and finally got around to installing these. initial impressions are very good and well worth the $$ and time to install, which took a little over an hour. the car felt more comfortable and planted at low and freeway speeds.
