Default Clearing my 93 taillights...

I am going to try and clear the 93 sc400's tailights. Has anyone tried this yet? i know there are companies that do it but i'm not stupid enough to pay that much for cleared tailights. I intend on buyin some from a junkyard and experimenting with them. Please let me know if you have any pointers. thanx

92-94 taillights are hard to work with...

get yourself a set of 95-96 style lights and you'll be able to clear the bottom easier...

I honestly don't think it's possible w/ the 92-94 tail lights. The outter lens covering itself is amber. You would need to either create an entirely new outter lens or find a way to physically change the amber to clear (which I doubt there is any relatively simple way of doing) I've had mine out before & decided to save myself the trouble. I agree w/ Tony, 95-96 are the best bet. I'm trying to get myself a cheap pair & then get to work!

I dont know how this guy in Japan did this to his rear lights.
There were no details or costs with the picture.

The sad news, is that the pictures weren't on a website...... they were on a Japanese 'auction' site, for sale......... over 6 months ago.

The seller didn't want to ship outside of Japan, so I couldn't even buy them......

Still at least we know it can be done, so all we have to do is to work out how........

Why is it that most japan cars that come to America have white and red taillights (in Japan) and orange and red (in US)? It would be just our luck that it's not the case with the SC(Soarer)

You think it's photoshopped? I've seen the one you did a while back and I knew those were photoshop, but this one looks kinda real. And you know the japanese do crazy stuff!!
