Did alittle wetsanding yesterday
I picked up my 92 SC3 about a month ago now and haven't had the money yet to do any modding but it's black and it wasn't in the best of shape so I picked up some sandpaper and brought out the buffer. Take a look
I only did the pass fender and door but I'm going to start working on the rest of the car as well. In the last pic you can see the difference between the orange peel and spiderwebs and the new glass smooth polished finished.
Started with some 1000grit, then went to 1500, finished it off with 2000 and 3m rubbing compound with Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax. Look pretty much like new now or better

Thanks guys. I think it took me about 2 hours to do it by hand not getting in any kind of hurry about it. You try and rush black and you're asking for problems. I'll follow up with more pics once I do more of the car

I went front to back. I used a regular 3m sanding block because I couldn't find a foam sanding pad. It's important to have some flat and uniform to make sure everything stays smooth. Only time I changed my pattern was for the edges like the front of the door. I went up and down for those so I wouldn't hit an edge
