Eletronic Rear View Mirror?
Anyone know any details about the rear view mirror in a 95 sc300? In my 92 when I turned the car on, it would go to its "cleared" state so that its easy to see. But in my 95 I have to push the button every time i start the car change it to the cleared state. Anyone have any ideas of how to get it to come on clear? (not shaded) or how to hard wire it clear? This may seem like a little thing, but it annoys the freaking hell out of me.
my '93's mirror always starts out clear when I start the car, even if I left it in the dark mode when I turn the car off.
gavin, does yours start out dark no matter how it was set the last time, or does it stay where you left it?
not sayin I have an answer here, just wondering - and does anybody know how many wires connect to the mirror? one, two or more?

Mine always starts off in dark mode, no matter what. You can actually just pop off the mirror cover, and see everything behind it. Takes all of 5 seconds and its really cool looking. There are 2 wires that go to a plug that plugs into a circut board that looks like it should auto detect light or something. You can just unplug your mirror from it.

Mine is like Din's, clear until the button is pressed.
**On a similar note, does anyone know if or have electrochromic side mirrors? They can be described as the blue tinted side mirrors that somewhat filter out the glare from headlights behind you. They are standard equipment now on all new Bimmers, Benzos, and Lexos, but I really need them for my '95!

Lex, that's what I thought, but I saw a '97+ parked against a curb one day with no electrochromic/tinted side mirrors. That got me wondering... Can any 96-and-up guys confirm this?
