mine were a pain in the *** trying to do it like ur doing it..
HOWEVER
theres two spots where you can screw a bolt into..and it pops it RIGHT off..after an entire day trying to break my rotor loose i found a bolt to fit and literally took 5 secs to do..
im not positive the size that goes there but i luckily found one to fit first try

Brake cleaner is your friend spray around the outside hub and inner side of the hub.
That's where the rust and corrosion has built up over time and makes it difficult to remove. I recently did mine and it was a pain. Make sure you have your e-brake released. I had mine up and fought with the rears for 20 minutes before realizing lol.

^^^ THIS is how you do it. Don't beat on it. I used a bolt with a 10mm head. There's plenty like that on our cars.

Agreed, please do that. If it doesnt come off with two hits of a rubber mallet, spray some blaster and use those bolts.
