They all have keyless entry, just different types. For example, the keyless entry that I have on my 93 is simply a small button that is on the very key used to start the car. But they eventually upgraded to a remote (not sure which year tho). I wanted to get a remote for my SC, but I'm not sure if that will work.

I think '96 is when they began to offer the remote unit separate from the key. My '95 is in the key & gives an audible beep when activated. I understand that the '96 and up keyless system will also open the trunk, something I wish my '95 would do.

Default I have a 97

and it also has the separate remote. I know for a FACT that for the '98 models, Lexus went back to the keyless entry system thats INTEGRATED into the key, and it still has trunk release. I asked a tech at a lexus dealership if I could get a 98 key for my 97, but he said it was impossible. Anyone have a second opinon?
