HRE 593R's

So after getting new tires, Discount Tire informed me that I had a bent front left rim. So I think it's time to upgrade. These 18's are a little small and not very wide or flush. I already decided that I want the HRE 593R's in 19's. I want that big lip VIP look in the back. I think I will go with black or gunmetal centers with a polished lip.

The question is, how wide can I go in the front and the rear and what offsets should I get? The camber will be set somewhere between 0 and -1.5. As far as ride height, the fender needs to be flush with the top of the tire.

10 rears and 9 fronts HRE is a great choice of wheels and i really like that design I would just go with a brushed finish and polished or chrome lips

a 19x9.5 +19 and 19x10.5 +25 would be nice.

I can see myself doing the same thing but isn't messed up that we would put wheels on an SC that cost more than the car is worth? We are crazy.
Way to go dude!

Nice to see someone else going with HRE. I'm rollen HRE 545 18"s. Tooo small.
I'd love to see excatly what you get and how it looks on the car.

^I love the 545's. But I just don't like the look of 5-spoke rims on the SC.

At this point, I can never see myself selling this car. It's been around since I was 6 months old. Its sentimental value far outways any money I could get for it. And I already spend twice the car's value on it anually. That's how I can justify the expenditure anyways. This car is a never ending project. Hell, in 6 years it will be a classic anyways.

Can you post pics of this setup?

it's almost identical to what i'm currently running.

Would be pretty similar to this:

That's the best picture I could find to show you the wheel fitment

^ Vinh's fitment is what I would consider perfect

You're going to have to run some good stretch to get the front to fit.

I dont like the rim sticking out past the flushness of the fenders. Looks ghetto to me. No offense. JMO.
I think 8.5 in front and 9.5 are near perfect, with the correct camber to NOT wear the tires.

Kohinoor Aug 23, 2010 08:15 PM

you could just fix the bend for $80 lol

hre's are nice

lfrers Aug 23, 2010 10:19 PM

Neagtive sir. Last time I sent a wheel to HRE for repair they charged $400 for dis/re-assemble plus a new barrel. He's looken at more than $80.

And the other places out there that fix most damaged rims for around $80-$100 suck. I tried to repair a Koneg and an HRE and both still wobbled after repair.
