I just bought a 1jz swap with 5-speed from a chaser or soarer(forgot what car it was from...) with rear sump, and now I got a few questions about the swap...

What driveshaft will I have to use? Will the auto driveshaft from a 92' auto work?

Would the w58 tranny mount work?? And what clutch pedel set-up do you guys usually use for the 5-speed swap??

Well if it's rear sump it's either from a Soarer or Supra. And no the auto driveshaft will not work.

So i've been reading that you need a mkIII front half of the driveshaft? The rear half works im guessing. The only problem with that is a mkIII driveshaft is almost impossible to find in my area..... The only driveshafts I can find are from a non-turbo or auto turbo mkIII.

or u can get the Driftmotion.com drivestaft for a couple hundred bucks

I looked into that. the cost is over 200 bucks though... lol

400 for the driveshaft and 160 for the adapter. would i be able to use the front driveshaft from a non-turbo 5 speed mk3???
