Hi everyone,

I have an 1993 SC300 manual. My passenger airbag had been deployed so when I took it out compare with the other unknow SC300/400 year passenger air bag. I notices that the other SC300 passenger i bought from Ebay the connector is not the same one from my 1993 SC300.

My question is can i cut my old deployed airbag connector and put on the other Ebay air bag. Both Sc300 have the same wire color (yellow) and ( blue).

The good side i put the passenger air bag back on my sc300

The bad side when impact accident will my passenger deploy or frooze.

Please let me know if someone experience like this before

 

As I just mentioned in another thread, technically yes you can cut it - although most people advise against it for safety reasons. Just make sure if you do it you solder it, heat shrink it and tape it. Last thing you want is for a bad connection to make it not deploy

miller415 if you are still on the forum i would like to know if you went through with spicing the wires and if it worked, because im in the same boat thank.
