Lesson's Learned
Well, to put it short, guy before me did not change the oil that much and I lost a rod. I am very religious about oil changes, and use Mobil 1, but i have developed a VERY loud engine knock and lack of power, so I have parked it. Prelem checking by two mechanics is that i am better off replacing the 2jz than opening up the engine. Soooo, I looked around and found a 92 2jzge with 80k with the compressor, power steering pump, alternator, MAF, and starter removed, just the engine and intake and water pump, for 700. Is that a good price, or does anyone around here have a better deal? Oh yeah, I need a new transmission too, bearing went out. Great luck huh?
