Default Water pump replacement questions

I bought a water pump from autozone today and it has a nipple at the bottom instead of a weep hole ??? I know this has been spoken about in the past click here but he didnt get an answer...


What is the nipple for ??? a turbo ?

no one knows ??? I thought one of you guys might have changed a water pump at sometime and could offer advice... Can I install this, and it wont leak from the weep hole looking thing? or do I have to buy a different one ?

Please ???

It's prob still serves the same function. Can you see the nipple or a passage to the nipple on the inside of the pump? Can you blow through the nipple? if no to both of those questions, I'd throw it on there and not worry about it any more.

I can blow thru it, thanks to you I rethought the issue. I filled the cavity with water then tried to blow thru it and it seemed to vent without blowing bubbles...Im installing...

It is to be left open. Either leave it alone, or put a short length of hose on it, but either way, leave it open

Thank you sir...

After all that I have to take it back and exchange it for the correct one... The holes lined up almost perfectly
