Default Help.... Lights are on, but the tailghts are not....

I was driving at night, my friend was following me and tells me that my tailights are not on.
Weird because my headlights are.... So when I brake, the brake lights come on....
Any ideas?
I'm guessing a fuse?
Does anyone happen to have the fuse diagram for the kick panel where all the fuses are?
Somehow I don't have the cover where the diagram is. Thanks...

Should just be a fuse.

If it's not the fuse, it could be your tail light bulbs are dual filament bulbs and one of filaments has burnt out which is more likely your problem/case.

That's what I thought too, I ruled out that might not be likely since all my rearlights are off. What are the chances that all of them would go out at the same time?

Hate to say it, but there is always the chance that you fried something if it was fused at double the intended amperage. Hopefully that's not your case, but I just wanted to throw it in there to cover all the bases.

Peter 95... which fuse? I had the same problem last night and the fuses seems to be fine.... Did you replace the tail fuse? Is it visually fried? Thanks.

im going to bump this up instead of starting a new thread since there is so many of them. but i feel i have a wierd problem going on

my driver side running light/tail light is out. My pass side is good. the fuse in the "kick panel" is good. but is there only one fuse for both tail lights???

My tail light bulb is good but i changed it out anyways to be sure. is this a electrical problem or has someone ran into this before?

thanks

Yeah, I still can't figure out what is wrong with mine. Good fuse, good bulbs, no power to the bulbs. Yet the fuse has power. Weird. I'm open to suggestions.

Check the lamp failure box in the trunk by the power antenna black box about 2 or 3 inches square that's what's was wrong with mine. Had headlights and brakelights but no tailights.

Agreed with the lamp failure option, it fixed my problem when I replaced it. Its a toyota part so it will be easy to obtain.
