AC Fan stuck on low speed
I did a search and found several threads about the fan being stuck on high, but could not find anything about it being stuck on low. This is on a 1992 SC400. The fan blows, but will not progress to the higher speeds when the button is pushed.
Thanks,
James

Thanks
O.L.T. Thanks for the response.
The posts that I found indicated that there is a power transister "module" that supplies the power for the blower unless the ECU commands max speed and then it activates a relay for high blower speed.
It was my understanding that failure of the transitor module would result in the blower remaining on high. So would the opposite be true if it remains on low?
In other words would the problem probably be the transitor module?

the blower control unit does exactly as it states. Controls the blower. It is not something that is in demand so any of our used parts vendors should have them laying around.
Provided, this is the proper solution to your problem that is.
most blower motors have a resistor on them and this mght be one of them.
