Could these have been the original wheels delivered from the factory or dealer? The only modification the owner appears to have made was switching to Soarer "Griffin" centercaps. The wheels are stamped "Toyota" and not "Lexus" so I am wondering if they are actually Soarer rims he swapped over years earlier.

I'd just like to know if they could have been a dealer option for some part of the 1993 model year, minus the JDM center caps.

btw, if anyone is interested in them send me a PM. They're just collecting dust in my garage.

You must be talking about these right?

Most likely they weren't the original wheels, They probably originally came with the 15 inch '92-'94 SC300wheels...But yeah, the wheels you're talking about were most likely Lexus wheels with a swapped center cap...Whether they were JDM or USDM, Lexus/Toyota stamped, they will always have "TOYOTA" stamped on 'em for obvious reasons...I have actually seen a set of these wheels with the Lexus center caps on 'em and they still had "TOYOTA" stamped on 'em...So there you go.

I had seen them on 97+ SC300's, but now that I think about it, I've only seen a 97+ SC400 once in person so I guess they do have those wheels too. I had seen a few on Autotrader or Craigslist that had different OEM wheels though for the SC400 though, so I wasn't sure.

I like the super mesh wheels too. They look good in chrome.

Get a pic if you can.

Yep, those are the ones I have

I was pretty sure Lexus didn't have badging on all their car parts at that time but I wanted to be sure. So they are SC400 wheels. The guy had the car for a long time so it makes sense. Thanks!

From what I was told, These pictured wheels are the only factory options available for the Japanese Domestic Market Toyota Soarers...Figures that the Japanese market would get better and/or exclusive wheels (i.e 3rd pic) than the rest of us.

While on the contrary, These factory wheels are exclusive to the North American market...

'92-'94 SC300 Wheels...(Yuck!)

'95-'96 SC300 Wheels...(These look better in chrome)

95-96's are probably my favorite wheels of all. I ride on them dumped with 25mm spacers and comfy *** 55 wall tires daily lol. I get at least one compliment on my car each week. When my chrome DH's are on, that's a whole other story. People are like fish, they sit and stare at shiny stuff.

I just got a set of those factory mesh wheels in chrome. They are actually 3 piece wheels made by wheel concepts with a -16 offset. I don't know if they will fit on the sc with ls400 brakes. They are missing center caps tho.

I picked up a 1995 SC400 low mileage original owner car that came with the mesh wheels. They have the Vogue center cap and are slightly different than what I've seen shown here. The many faces of the factory OEM SCX00/Soarer wheels.-dsc_4781.jpg
