Hit it with a hammer...not even joking. That was the only thing wrong with my SC when I got it, lightly tapped it with a hammer to get it to the point where I wanted it, then left it alone.

yeah it does, but there is that old saying- "if all else fails, whack it with a hammer."

I took this advice and the chrome cap actually popped off of the antenna. It went down a little bit but actually looks even worse now

I found this somewhere on the internets
haven't tried it myself yet, but it's a pretty comprehensive guide!

Guess I should include a link...

LOL, i can't believe he took the advice of using the hammer. Usually if it stuck, the mast broke, and you have to take the antenna out and put a new one.

It's NOT a direct fit. However, it can be made a direct fit using nothing more than what comes with the kit and what is already on your car.

Oh and an adjustable wrench.

^ ya I was gonna suggest a stub antenna as well. Guys often use S2000 antennas, I've seen a few other ones as well..

ya for the 350z's, a lot of us use the s2000 antenna. i don't know much about antenna workings, but do you know how hard it would be to use a s2k one on a sc? my antenna just went out. i don't mind replacing it with a factory one if need be for best reception, but i think i would prefer a fixed stubby one for reliability.
