LOL, I kind of feel I've pulled most (if not all) accessible bolts and nuts off the underside of my passenger seat, and still the rail won't release. The sucker is frozen all the way backward, so the front two frame mounted bolts came off easy, with the rail sitting on the back two.
I've searched topic this ad nauseum--help!

I guess I should clarify: the seat is bolted in the cabin, and I want to remove both the rail and the seat together. If the electric rails worked fine, this wouldn't be a problem. But since the rail is frozen all the way back, I can't access the bolts.

Your problem is nothing new. Your solution CAN be found by a thorough search....but here goes, as fried rice says, there are 2 10mm nuts on the front seats located at the front of the seat rails, one on each side. Just put your head down on the front carpet with a good flashlight and you will see them.Use a 10mm socket with a short extension and turn each of the nuts. By turning these nuts you will be MANUALLY turning the gears on the motors the control the back and forth travel of the seat so as to be able to access the seat mounting bolts front and back. It's a bit slow going since you are manually turning the gears, remember one per side. Remember, this is a Lexus and those guys think of damn near everything. What you will probably find is that one of the little plastic gears have fallen out of the motor that moves the seat back and forth. Often the gear is found sitting on the floor or stuck somewhere in the seat( it's white plastic about the size dime). Simply put the gear back in place, the motor is on the inside of the seat by the armrest/seat belt latch, (or buy the gear part) and use a bit of silicone to keep it from popping back out. Good luck. As a side note, if you can't move the seat for whatever reason, you can use a socket that has had two flat sides grinded down on it so that you can put the socket on the seat mounting bolt and then use a flat wrench (tight place)to grip the socket to losen the hard to reach bolt heads. Where there is a will there is a way......
