yea im pretty happy with it...I have a 99 sc300 so iono if i can tell the difference in performance but it does make the car sounds extremely louder n deeper.

Well i use aluminum to make the top and under the light piece.

You'll probably not notice a difference changing from one type of filter to another. I'd stick to the stock pleated paper one. K&N types are rumoured to let in more dirt.

Make up your own mind:

K&N can go very wrong. Filter oil is not a sensors friend. I suggest a dry flow filter like a foam or synthetic over a cotton filter. See if you can't find a TRD filter the right size or AEM, true flow, ect.

Yea i heard about not to use oil filter for our maf as well so im deciding to look for some TRD performance filter tat will fit the sc filter box. Thanks for the input guys.

ALso another question though, as u can see i made my bfi using aluminum for the top cover piece (no pic yet) and the plate under the light, but after a hard drive the top cover piece and intake box are pretty hot. Isn't it suppose to get cold air? Why is it still hot?
