No woofer function in 97 SC400 with aftermarket radio
Hello!
Today, i removed the Alpine radio (was installed by import in the belgium 1997) to install my Sony CDX-C910 Radio. The wiring maked i new, but i have only a wiring diagra from the 92 SC400. The Woofer was never connected on the Alpine radio.
I connected my sony, the front and the rear speaker are ok, but one of this (front or rear) are wrong connected??? in the middle position from the fader is the bass very low, each seperate, perfect.
I connected the RCA cable to the black and white wire for the woofer, but no music
in the trunk, i see a a nakamichi amp with 3 connectors. i controlled all spreakers with the ohm-meter on the connectors, all ok, the voltage on both connectors (woofer and normal) are ok. on the third connector, i see only the cables for the normal speakers from the radio and 3 other (are ok in the 92 wiring manual)
Is a secret box for the woofer RCA cables? or have one member a wiring diagramm for the 97 SC400 with CD Changer?
Thanks for help!

Here is the quick answer....from what I have read, the only way to get your Nakamichi system (subwoofer) to work is by going completely aftermarket. The people who have had the Pioneer systems have much better luck getting all speakers to work when they install an aftermarket headunit. Go to the Audio forum and read up. There are plenty of threads in there about installing aftermarket items in the SC...But like I said, many people have never been able to get the Nakamichi system to play nice with aftermarket headunits.
