i rebuilt this engine due to a knock from the bottom end. The engine was also just rebuilt by someone else before I put it in the first time. thats why I just want to get a whole new "used" engine and start the build over. I run dish pistons w/o oil squirters. I was gonna get a used engine and rebuild new cuz I dont trust this one any more. I had a lot of faith in the 2jzgte when this started, now I'm losing faith. I think there is somthing wrong with the block or crank that the engine shop missed.
if thats the setup you run there is only a minimal difference in just using a completely stock 2jzge bottom end. get one from a good running motor, and don't even rebuild it, just clean it up, and you can run a slightly thicker gasket to account for the piston dish. once you open up the bottom end you are taking a lot of risks, as it sounds like you know that already from your 2 motors. its really not even worth doing a rebuild these days unless you are increasing displacement. your money is much better spent on the head.
