I was driving home today, from all places, the body shop where I took my car after school to get an estimate. Well, I wasn't paying attention and rear ended this guys car at about 10 miles an hour. No damage to his car at all thank goodness. Instead, WHITE car has black paint all over the bumper, my parents are pissed, and its going to take all my available cash to fix it. My license plate looks screwed up too. What a terrible day. I hate this.

 

Yeah,it sucks to f%&* up;I clipped a piece of broken concrete with one of my new Borbet rims a couple nights ago.
At least no one got hurt.

 

Very sorry to hear that, but let me put a positive spin on it for you, at least now you can upgrade, tell your parents it costs the same to put an aftermarket buper on as replacing the oe front. Glad to hear no one was hurt.

If you do decide on an aftermarket bumper, don't get fiberglass...you seem to be prone to running into stuff, so urethane would be a MUCH better choice. Urethane flexes instead of shattering/cracking like 'glass.

Thanks for the advice black94. The only aftermarket bumper i'm really considering right now is the WALD one. If i don't get that one then i'll just get the stock bumper. My dad is going to call Longo while I'm gone for summer school and get an estimate. He seemed somewhat open to the idea of an aftermarket solution. It jsut sucks to have one of the nicest cars at school one day, and a screwed up one the next. This experience has really taught me to be careful and cherish my damn car!

 

Hey dont sweat it man. I got into 2 accidents the same day. I got rear ended, then i backed up and hit a trailer park clip thing. It just added more damage to my rear bumper so its all good. Its just the insurance process thats driving me crazy.

 

when i got my sc4 my senior year of highschool, it only took 5 days for me to hit someone. and it was my first accident too and after that, a long string of accidents followed. None of which was my fault of course. well maybe one or two of them but that's like out of 10. people just cant seem to avoid hitting me. I can sympathize w/ u man cuz not too long ago i backed into my friend sarah's mustang. nothing really happened to her car other than a two inch scratch but mine's dented up pretty good. I decided to be honest and tell her and she was really cool about it. I offered to pay her to fix it but she was like dont worry about it, i hate my car anyways.

dont feel bad. I can top it all. I searched 3 months for an M3. Finally found a perfect 95 w/ 43,000 miles for a fair price. I bought it 2 hours from my house at 12 in the afternoon. Unfortunately, at 4 PM, my car was totaled and my friend and I were in the hospital. I was out the next day, and he was out the day after that. I am glad we were ok, but no more M3.. Dam, it was beautiful too. O well, I truley love my SC now, even though its not a BMW, its still a Lexus. Plus it is a more luxuruios car anyways. It is weird, I have really never liked the SC util I bought mine, and now im in love with it.

Rear ended at around 70-75 mph. Car heald up pretty well though.

It sure is a shame.
