Question Removing black paint off wheels?

Found some wheels, that were painted black. I was wondering if air craft stripper was ideal to remove the paint off? When i polished my R1 bike years ago, the air craft stripper easily removed the paint in a couple minutes, so i'm wondering if this would work the same?
