As far as timing goes I don't have a way to see it. On the afc I'm not getting any knock at all. The car runs great. I've been using afcs since the **** style never had any problems with them. I ran them on my dsms with above 25psi with no issues. I'm curious as to why you're recommending not going over 20psi....

As far as mods they are listed in my sig.

Timing is airflow based. If you pull OUT airflow you actually increase the timing. So with you pulling fuel out, you are actually increasing the timing even more than it is stock. I've tuned a lot of DSM's too, including my own 10sec AWD one, and it will handle more boost on pump gas compared to other cars, so it's not really comparable. Also, the SAFC's knock monitor isn't accurate at all, so don't go by that. Typical rule of thumb is 19-20psi on pump gas.

Well with the the factory mass air housing I was around -42 same boost. With the ls400 mass air housing I'm right around around -33 @ 22psi. So I figure I'm still in the comfy zone.

I remember with dsms the factory injector was a 450cc so naturally a 550cc was only 20% increase. It was when you ran a 650 or greater that you'd have trouble with the safc if you didn't run a chip. So I understand what you're saying about the timing tables. I think for my 1g at about 26psi with 750s I was at 20 degrees total.

With a BTDC of 9-10 degrees what is the advance up top? Ive seen someone say its aggressive.... To me if its aggressive I'm thinking at least 15degrees of advance which would give me about 24-25 degrees total
