hoops,

Thank's for all the extra pics. Each one makes me want to run out and get it done to mine.

MadMaxSC400,

Do you have a part number for the cat you're using? I love the idea of slightly more sound than normal. I can hardly wait!

Got the custom piping in today. Went from two resonators to only one. Sound is not loud at all, but DEEEEP as hell. Man it sounds sweet!!
BUT the biggest surprise?? All of the irritating pinging, popping, and ticking is absolutely gone. As you recall, that was buggin' the hell out of me.

Looks good Hoops! Not bad for $65! I was thinking of going true dual exhaust and running a 2-1 cat or dual cats, but I was on a schedule that day so no time.

Default loud

if you take out the center resonator and make true duel with only the mufflers, then it will be VERY loud, i agree it is pretty bassy, but it will be loud, muscle car loud, if you take out center resonater.....i know i did .. and it is pretty loud but bassy as hell ,

So krazylex,, you just took out the resonator and there was a huge difference??? If so,, then how did you do this & how difficult was the process. Do you have any sounds clips??
Thanks,
-Johnny

How much is a new performance cat? I want one that is much freer flowing to increase meatiness, and reduce backpressure. If it's too loud, no worries, I'll put in a dampener.

what diameter size pipes did you go with? Was it 304 steel?

3.5" aluminum. I know people will say steel is better blah, blah, blah. But I didn't want the ticking, cracking, and popping when I shut the car off. The car is dead silent know.

Does anyone know of disadvantages in the aluminum. I have heard some, but wonder if you guys have any ideas.

Without the single resonator your car will sound like a POS Mustang. I had it that way first and told him to add one. Unless you're into the LOUD exhaust, DON'T DO IT! The rumble you get from the single resonator will be music to your ears. I haven't turned my stereo on in 2 days because i've been listening to my exhaust note.

Do performance cats sound different than regular cats? Also, I asked farther back in the thread, but how much do they run (roughly)??

Are you talkin' the converter or the cat back pipes? A performance converter from Catco is $200 each. You have 3 converters but you only need to replace one.
My pipes cost me $200 to get redone.
